Can Sylglas Anti-Slip Tapes be applied to uneven/grooved surfaces?

Sylglas Anti-Slip Tapes are suitable for smooth surfaces only.

Can Sylglas Anti-Slip Tapes be overpainted.

No, our anti-slip products cannot be overpainted.

How do I prevent the corners of the tape from detaching and curling up?

Rounding off the corners of the tape may extend the products life and help to prevent the tape from detaching. Do this before applying the tape to the surface and with the release paper still intact.

Are Sylglas Anti-Slip Tapes suitable for industrial applications?

Sylglas Anti-Slip Tapes are suitable for domestic use only.

Are Sylglas Anti-Slip Tapes suitable for use underwater?

Sylglas Anti-Slip Tapes can withstand periodic exposure to wet or damp conditions (e.g. rain and snow). They are not suitable for continuous immersion in water.

Will the tape last?

To ensure continued anti-slip effectiveness, we recommend periodic inspections should be carried out and new strips re-applied in the event of wear/damage, or where the tape has disbonded or been affected by day to day use and service conditions.

How should Sylglas Anti-Slip Tape be stored?

Store in a dry place in its original packaging. If stored correctly, the tape has a 1 to 2-year shelf life.

Is there a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) available for this product?

What should I use to clean my hands after applying Sylglas Original Waterproofing Tape?

We suggest that safety gloves are worn when applying the tape. If you opt not to wear gloves, wash skin thoroughly with soap and water. Do not use organic solvents.

Can Sylglas Original Waterproofing Tape be overpainted?

Yes, it can be overpainted after it has formed a ‘skin’ (6-8 weeks after application, depending on conditions) with an emulsion paint.

Is Sylglas Original Waterproofing Tape vulnerable to low temperatures?

No, Sylglas Original Waterproofing Tape will withstand temperatures as low as -20°C.

Can Sylglas Original Waterproofing Tape be used to repair a cracked metal gutter?

If you have a cracked gutter (metal only) this can be repaired by filling in the cracks with Sylglas Plumber Fix. The inside of the gutter can then be lined with Sylglas Original Waterproofing Tape.

How should Sylglas Original Waterproofing Tape be stored?

Store in a cool, dry place in its original packaging. If stored correctly, the tape has a 5-year shelf life.
